EHF opens bidding for 2015 EHF Cup Finals

The EHF has begun the process of finding an organiser for the EHF Cup Finals, the concluding final phase of the Men’s EHF Cup.

Played in Nantes, France in 2013 and Berlin, Germany in 2014 (photo below), following a revamp of the competition and the merging of the Men's EHF Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup, the EHF Cup Finals brings together the competition’s top four teams to compete for the title over one weekend.

The 2015 event is scheduled for 16/17 May. Semi-finals are played on Saturday and then the match for third place and final are played on Sunday.

A bid book has been released by the EHF to all 32 teams having reached the third round of qualification, with clubs or related partners invited to submit their concepts for the event including aspects such as playing arena, logistics, side events, media interest and overall budget.

Deadline for submissions is 21 November 2014 with a decision by the EHF Executive Committee foreseen at its meeting in Budapest on 20 December during the final weekend of the Women’s EHF EURO 2014.
