Liscevic to miss the game against Baia Mare

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: The Serbian playmaker has been suspended for one match following her last-minute foul in the previous round.

Liscevic to miss the game against Baia Mare

The EHF Court of Handball has released a decision following disciplinary proceedings against the player Kristina Liscevic of Metz Handball.

The player was disqualified at the 59”53 minute of the 2014/15 Women’s EHF Champions League Group Matches game: Metz Handball vs. Larvik (25:26) which took place on 15 November 2014.

The EHF Court of Handball finds in substance that the behaviour deserves further sanction since the foul was intentionally committed to prevent the opponent from a clear chance to score at a crucial moment and, due to the position of Liscevic, was dangerous for the physical integrity of the player.

Liscevic is therefore not entitled to participate in the next Group Matches game in which her club will take part, respectively the match HCM Baia Mare vs. Metz Handball taking place on 21 November 2014.

An appeal against the present decision shall not have any suspensive effects.
