Digital coverage brings EHF EURO 2014 to global audienceThe European Handball Federation and its media and marketing partner for EHF EURO events, Infront Sports and Media, are continuing to roll-out their digital strategy for the upcoming Women’s EHF EURO 2014, following the success of the men’s event held in January this year. The official App is now available for iOS and Android devices. It offers all relevant information including results, statistics, feature stories as well as live streaming of all matches. Overall, the extended content of the flagship championship across all TV, online, mobile and social media platforms results is set to result in an ever growing presence for the event, which is held from 7 to 21 December 2014 in Hungary and Croatia. The Women’s EHF EURO will be aired into 145 countries (download), following agreements brokered by Infront with 85 broadcasters. Full HDTV coverage is guaranteed with the host broadcast production involving up to 15 cameras bringing every possible angle of the game play to the viewers at home. In addition, handball fans will also be able to enjoy near-live clips and daily programme teasers together with special highlights on the championship’s official YouTube Channel (www.YouTube.com/ehfeuro). Continuous fan interaction has been fostered even further through the tournament’s social media outreach, across Twitter (www.twitter.com/ehfeuro), Facebook (www.facebook.com/ehfeuro) and Instagram (www.instagram/ehfeuro).
Furthermore, the re-launched official championship website at www.ehf-euro.com provides handball fans with comprehensive event information, including live blogging throughout the tournament.
