Four quarter-finalists to be found this weekend

Sunday evening, half of the quarter-finalists of the Women's Challenge Cup will already be known, as four of the ties in the Last 16 are being played as double-headers this weekend.

In France, Union Mios Biganos-Begles are receiving Yellow Wintherthur from Switzerland for the first leg Friday night in Begles, with the return match being played in Biganos 24 hours later.

There is more Women's Challenge Cup handball in France Friday night, though.

In Le Havre, HAC Handball meet Gorodnichanka from Belarus in the first leg of a double header which is going to find its decision Sunday evening in Gonfreville l'Orcher, also in France.

In the Sport Hall of Alcanena, Portugal, JAC Alcanena receive Pogon Baltica Szczecin from Poland in the late afternoon hours Saturday, the return match being played in the same venue the following afternoon.

The fourth and last of this weekend's double-headers is also taking place in Portugal, in Gaia, where the local team Colegio de Gaia and DHC Sokol Poruba meet in two matches Saturday and Sunday.

Three further ties are played as double-headers next weekend, so only one tie is spread over both weekends.

Amyntas Amyntaiou from Greece with the third best scorer of the competition Cristina Ciobanu, who scored 21 goals in the previous round, have the home advantage Saturday in their first match against Galytchanka from Ukraine with return match in Ukrainian Lviv next Saturday.
