Two double-headers in Serbia

ROUND PREVIEW: The last four quarter-finalists of the Women´s Challenge Cup are going to be found this weekend.

Two double-headers in Serbia

After the four double-headers in the previous weekend, half of the quarter-finalists in the Women's Challenge Cup are known already.

Pogon Baltica Szczecin, Union Mios Biganos-Begles, HAC Handball and DHC Sokol Poruba are all through to the last eight, and this weekend, the remaining four participants are going to be found.

Some might argue that five teams are already through to the quarter-finals, as Galytchanka are leading by 15 goals against Amyntas Amyntaiou after winning the first leg in Greece 26:11.

Still, the two teams still have to absolve the return match in Lviv, Ukraine Saturday, before the decision is final.

The three remaining quarter-finalists are going to be found in three double-headers this weekend.

In Serbian Arandjelovac, WHC “KNJAZ MILOS” Arandjelovac are meeting ABU Baku from Azerbaijan, while another Serbian city, Nis, is also the venue of Challenge Cup handball this weekend. In the Sport hall “Cair”, ZRK Naisa Nis are hosting the two matches against Fram from the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.

The last participant in the quarter-finals will be found in Turkey, where Ardesen GSK are receiving Croatian opposition in the form of RK Zelina for two matches Saturday and Sunday.
