Buducnost made another important step toward reaching their second consecutive Women’s EHF FINAL4 with a clear win against Dinamo-Sinara on Sunday.

The Montenegrin powerhouse side booked their ticket for the quarter-finals with an away win against Krim in the previous round of matches, and have now secured first place in the group with two games to spare, sitting five points above their Russian counterparts on the table.

Buducnost (MNE) vs Dinamo-Sinara (RUS) 26:18 (13:9)

As the team with by far the lowest number of against goals this season, Sunday’s match was another breathtaking display from the Montenegrin champions.

A bold start from Dinamo saw the guests take an unexpected two-goal lead after ten minutes (4:2).

While scratching their heads after Dinamo’s strong opening minutes, Buducnost’s players were given a stern wake-up call from coach Dragan Adzic - and their response was what Adzic had been waiting for.

Led by a 47 per cent save percentage from goalkeeper Marta Zderic, Buducnost fine-tuned their defence and Dinamo’s attacking efforts began to hit a concrete wall.

A decisive 7:2 run between the 13th and 27th minute saw Buducnost run away with the lead, with Katarina Bulatovic’s characteristic shooting proving too much for Dinamo’s goalkeepers.

The second half was another astonishing display of Buducnost’s defensive prowess, leaving Dinamo with a mere 34 per cent scoring percentage at the end of the match.

The score during this period mirrored that of the first, as the guests managed only three goals in the last 15 minutes.

With seven goals in total, Cristina Neagu produced another gem performance for Buducnost. The Romanian ace is now second in the Women’s EHF Champions League 2014/15 top scorer list, with 66 goals – only two behind HC Leipzig’s Karolina Kudlacz.
