Igropulo joins KIF in the summer

NEWS REPORT: Russian international leaving Füchse Berlin for Danish champions.

Igropulo joins KIF in the summer

Danish champions KIF Kolding Kobenhavn have signed a three-year contract with Russian international Konstantin Igropulo who is joining from Bundesliga side Füchse Berlin this summer.

The 29-year-old right back is seen as replacement to Kim Andersson, whose ongoing shoulder problems are still making it hard for him to shoot, and whose contract with KIF is expiring this summer.

“Now we have a competent replacement for this position, Kim Andersson is playing, and we are very happy about that,” KIF Kolding Kobenhavn director Jens Boesen says.

“He is a player with a lot of experience and a lot of skills, and we believe that he will fit perfectly into our way of playing,” Jens Boesen added.

Laen looking forward to reunion

KIF line player Torsten Laen, who used to play with Igropulo in Füchse, is looking forward to the reunion.

“Tino is a really great guy, and he will be a huge asset to us. He is very good at both ends of the court. He is fast on his feet and good in more or less all aspects of the game," Laen said.

“He is a player at his best handball age, and there are still many good years in him, which I hope we will benefit from,” says Torsten Laen.

At the World Championship in Qatar in January and February this year, Konstantion Igropulo was the player who got most time on the court for Russia, and even though the Russians failed to qualify for the last 16, Igropulo had some kind of personal success, scoring 19 goals.
