Hamburg face Eskilstuna in the quarter-finals

NEWS REPORT: 2013 VELUX EHF Champions League winners will take on the Swedish side, while their bundesliga rivals MT Melsungen were put together with Skjern Haandbold by the Men's EHF Cup Quarter-final Draw.


Hamburg face Eskilstuna in the quarter-finals

HSV Hamburg will play against Eskilstuna Guif from Sweden, while another German team, MT Melsungen take on another Scandinavian rival Denmark's Skjern Handbold as all six teams learnt their last hurdles on the way to the EHF Cup Finals after the Men's EHF Cup Quarter-final Draw at the Sky Studios in Vienna.

The Scandinavian teams are very strong, we experienced that in the group phase. But we finished first in our group so we are favourites. We really want to make it to the finals in Berlin," said HSV manager Christian Pöhls.

The second Danish participant Team Tvis Holstebro and Slovenia's RK Gorenje Velenje create the last quarter-final pairing.

Jean Brihault, EHF President and Michael Wiederer, EHF Secretary General carried out the draw at the Sky Studios in Vienna.

The first quarter-final leg is scheduled for 11-12 April, the second leg will be played on 18-19 April. The three winning teams qualify for the 2015 EHF Cup Finals in Berlin (16-17 May).

The EHF Cup Finals hosts Füchse Berlin claimed a direct place at the final tournament courtesy of their group win in the group phase.

Skjern Handbold (DEN) vs MT Melsungen (GER)
RK Gorenje Velenje (SLO) vs Team Tvis Holstebro (DEN)
