Opening Party to set the tone on FridayThe first editions delighted handball fans and the people of Cologne last two years, with the audience celebrating outside the LANXESS arena throughout the evening. Once again, the eve of the VELUX EHF FINAL4 will be marked by the Opening Party. On 29 May, thousands of visitors will be present when the participating teams and their fans, the people of Cologne and many stars will gather for the pinnacle of European club handball. The programme of events centred on the open-air stage begins at 18:00 hrs. and will include the great performance of Brings, the presentation of the teams, a chance to meet your favourite handball stars and much more. Dance and sing along All handball fans taking part at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 Opening Party have a unique chance to become part of the pre-match entertainment on the final day. All they have to do is to enter the video box at the LANXESS arena on Friday during the party and sing the “Seven nation army” hit. In the opening show prior the third place match on Sunday a compilation of enthusiastic singers’ faces will be projected on the floor, while a big digital choir of fans voices will be played in front of 20,000 spectators. Visitors should not let this opportunity pass them by, so best get practicing the song right away. Up close with the stars – team presentation Visitors will have the chance to come face to face with the stars of Europe’s top four handball clubs. The adrenalin will be pumping for all players and fans when the teams are presented on stage. The best handball players in the world will chat about the upcoming events with the hosts, before they meet the fans and sign autographs for about 30 minutes, while hosts Anett Sattler, Edit Szalay and Markus Floth offer a taste of the hot atmosphere in the arena.
