Federation’s leadership visit Kosovo on the occasion of the IHF Emerging Nations Championship


EHF visit to Kosovo

The EHF President, Jean Brihault, and EHF Secretary General, Michael Wiederer, were in Kosovo on Thursday, 25 June to meet with the IHF President, Dr Hassan Moustafa, and officials from the Kosova Handball Federation.

The meetings took place on the fringes of the semi-finals of the IHF Emerging Nations Championships.

Faroe Islands was the first team to secure their place in the final of the IHF Emerging Nations Tournament beating Kosovo 31-23 in front of more than 1000 fans in Prishtina. Latvia also beat Uruguay in the second semi-final 25:21.

16 national federations from around the world have been taking part in the event including the Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Great Britain, Ireland, Kosovo, Latvia, Malta, and Moldova.

The final between the Faroe Islands and Latvia will take place at 17:30 local time on 26 June 2015.
