Victor Tomas will be a one-club manFC Barcelona Lassa right wing Víctor Tomas has renewed his contract with the club for four more years and intends to end his handball career wearing the iconic colours. At the end of this contract, Tomas will have competed for 22 years in the Barcelona jersey. Víctor Tomas, who will turn 31 on 15 February, arrived to the Catalan team in 1998 when he was 13. He played 5 years with various underage teams before his debuted for the first team with Valero Rivera as coach. The first goal he scored was against Academia Octavio in the ASOBAL League and the goalkeeper was Barcelona’s current coach Xavi Pascual. Tomas is Barcelona’s captain since 2012, when he replaced Laszlo Nagy. With the Catalan club he has won 3 EHF Champions League titles, 1 EHF Cup, 7 ASOBAL Spanish Leagues, 5 ASOBAL Cups, 4 King’s Cups and 6 Spanish Supercups. After signing his new contract he told club television: “I’m very happy to continue with my home team, the best team in the world. These colours are carried beyond the jersey, and I want to show it because I feel it. “I hope there will be more than these four years, because my life is Barcelona and this is my club.
