ROUND REVIEW – Turkish Kastamonu are ready for the final of the Women´s Challenge Cup final after defeating HC Karpaty in a double-header.

Kastamonu B. Glenclik SK are ready for Women's Challenge Cup final. In this weekend´s double-header on home ground, the Turkish side won both legs against their Ukrainian adversaries, HC Karpaty.

In the first match Sunday, 1000 spectators in the Atatürk spor salonu saw Kastamonu change an 11:8 deficit at half-time into a 24:20 win.
Centre back, Serpil Iskenderoglu, scored eight goals for Kastamonu and right back, Olena Kosyk, netted six for Karpaty.

In the same venue on Sunday, Iskenderoglu was her team´s highest scoring player once again.
This time, she hit the net six times, just like her teammate Fatmagül Sakizcan, as Kastamonu won 30:25 and clinched their final berth without much trouble. Right wing, Iryna Kompaniiets, became the top scorer for Karpaty this time scoring seven goals.

Kastamonu´s opponent will not be known until next Sunday, but Rocasa Gran Canaria ACE have a very good chance to reach their first European final ever. That is the situation after the Spanish side won the first leg away against EKS Start Elblag 25:24.

Gran Canaria were leading 12:11 at half-time in Poland and managed to keep the one goal lead until the final buzzer, putting themselves in a favourable position going into their home game in a week. Almudena Rodriguez and Tidara Cabezudo scored seven goals each for Gran Canaria, while Aleksandra Dankowska scored five for Elblag.
