Fair play has always been an integral part of beach handball, and this emphasis is now even further underlined as beach handball within the EHF and the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM) spread the message of fair play.

The cooperation between the two organisations that started at the ebt Finals in May in Budaörs, Hungary reached its first peak when Hungarian band MDC performed their song "Fair Play" on the occasion of the final day at the European Championships 2015 in Lloret de Mar.

To further strengthen the message of fair play, the European Handball Federation and MDC's label "White Sonic Records" have signed a contract that turns "Fair Play" into the official beach handball song until 2020. The song will be used and played, including live performances of MDC at European Championship level, at all EHF beach handball events.

"For us ‘Fair Play’ is not just about sport, but also about other things in life. We are trying to live in a fair play way of life – it’s an attitude that we try to apply all the time," says singer Miklós Bátori.

MDC participated in the Hungarian version of music talent show X-Factor in 2013. They released their first music video in 2014 and have since been featured in several Hungarian music channels and at concerts.

The EFPM is a non-governmental association was founded in 1994. Its main aim is to promote Fair Play and tolerance in the broadest sense (in sports and everyday life) at European level.

The EFPM seeks to achieve this goal by supporting its members, by helping to promate Fair Play campaigns where sports organisations take the initiative, by cooperating with the authorities to foster Fair Play themes and by faciliating regular contacts between the various European sports organisations.
