Young referees officiate matches at European Universities Games

Seven pairs of referees from the EHF's Young Referees Programme have been nominated to officiate the matches at the upcoming 3rd European Universities Games in Rijeka, Croatia from 12 to 19 July.

The pairs are

  • Ante Mikelic / Petar Paradina (CRO)
  • Andreas Rosendo / Sergio Rodriguez (ESP)
  • Julia Glantz / Annika Laaksonen (FIN)
  • Ramesh Thiyagarajah / Suresh Thiyagarajah (GER)
  • Bettina Balogh / Viktoria Toth (HUN)
  • Vegard Kallobakken / Magnus Nygren (NOR)
  • Stevan Djurasinovic / Nicola Music (SRB)

Besides their assignments on matchdays all pairs attend a theoretical course as part of the Young Referees Programme. The course will include, among other topics, sessions on the new IHF rules as well as a shuttle-run test.

The EHF Lecturers nominated for the course are Tomo Vodopivec, Nebojsa Vujisic and Carlos Garcia as well as Vladimir Rancik from the EHF Office.
