Watch the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup liveThe third edition of the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup takes place from 3 to 6 November 2016 on Gran Canaria with all matches being streamed live on the ehfTV Youtube channel. Overall there will be 88 matches played over the four days in the men's and the women's event. 12 teams each participate in both events (download the court plan). Since the inaugural EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup in 2014 the men's competition has been dominated by Russian side "Ekaterinodar" Krasnodar who won in both years and who are also one of the favourites in 2016. In the women's event defending champions Multichem Szentendrei, who feature Hungarian star player Kitti Grosz, arrive with high ambitions. With Cannabis Energy Drink - Kanonierky there is also for the first time a team from Slovakia competing. The participating teams have been seeded in two groups of six teams each in both the men's and the women's event. The first four teams of each group qualify for the quarter-finals. The preliminary round will be played on Thursday and Friday. The final preliminary round game as well as the quarter-finals take place on Saturday. The semi-finals and the final throw off on Sunday, 6 November.
Comprehensive coverage Over the four days of the tournament, the EHF offers all beach handball fans plenty of opportunities to follow the event. All matches of Court 1 and Court 2 will be streamed live on the ehfTV Youtube channel. This coverage will be supplemented by a number of highlight and best of-clips from the event which will also be available on Youtube as well as on the beach handball Facebook page. All matches can be followed with the dedicated beach handball ticker and the respective statistics are available for all men's and all women's teams on the respective event pages.
