Ref cam to be used at the MOTW in MannheimAll fans in front of the TV screens during the Match of the Week between Rhein-Neckar Löwen and THW Kiel (19:00 hrs local time, live on ehfTV.com) will be able to enjoy a very unique perspective on the game as a modern technology returns to the European top flight after its debut at the VELUX EHF FINAL4 in the LANXESS arena last May.
During the match the Macedonian referees Slave Nikolaev and Gjorgji Nachevski will be fitted with special cameras, which are linked to the host broadcaster’s TV production. They will allow video pictures, though without sound, to be shown in real-time and offering a completely different view not often seen in handball.
