Höör defending 12 goal lead in OstravaAfter HC Lokomotiva Zagreb clinched their Women's Challenge Cup Final berth last weekend, their opponent in the final will be found this Saturday. The battle stands between DHC Sokol Poruba and H 65 Höörs HK, however, the visitors have a huge advantage after a 12-goal win in the first leg.
SEMI-FINAL, SECOND LEG
DHC Sokol Poruba (CZE) vs H 65 Höörs HK (SWE) Höör are clear favourites to reach the Women's Challenge Cup Final for the second time in the history of their club. Having won the first match at home by no less than 12 goals, the Swedish side - who won the tournament in 2014 - are very close to another final. Höör did not give their opponents any chance in the first match in Sporthallen Höör last Saturday: the Swedish team won 28:16. Höör even seem to have a stronger team for the return match in Ostrava, as left back Cassandra Tollbring is expected back in the team after sitting out the first match due to a thigh injury. Despite the big lead and the return of future Larvik player Tollbring, centre back Emma Lindqvist still remains cautious. “They won by 13 goals at home against Kram Start Elblag from Poland in the quarter-final. “If they win by 13 again, we are out. “Therefore, we must do a good job in the return match as well,” said 19-year-old Lindqvist who scored seven goals in the first match. Sokol Poruba coach Peter Olsavsky also focuses on the quarter-final against Elblag in order to find hope for his team. “We need to get back to the way we played at home against Elblag. “We want to show our fans that we have not qualified for the semi-finals by accident. “We learned a tough lesson in Sweden. “Now it is up to us to show that we have learned from it,” Peter Olsavsky told his club's website.
