PREVIEW: After they hosted the ebt 2017 Finals in Gaeta, Italy’s first regular tournament of the season will take place alongside eight other competitions this weekend.

Nine European Beach Tour 2017 competitions take place this weekend, beginning with Alexandroupolis Beach Handball 2017 in Greece and And’Praia 2017 – Canidelo in Portugal.

On Friday, the Calise Cup 2017, XIII Open Handbol Platja Calella-Barcelona, the II Budapest Cup, Polish Beach Handball, Arena 500 CIUDAD DE LEPE and the XXI Nazare Cup Beach all throw off.

32 men’s teams and 20 women’s sides will compete in the senior competition at the XII Open Handbol Platja Calella, including teams from Spain, Dubai, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany. There will also be a youth competition on Friday.

The Calise Cup 2017 is the first ebt 2017 event in Italy, with a total of 34 teams participating in the senior men’s and women’s, Under 18 men’s and Under 12 boy’s competitions. The Calise Cup is an truly international event with players from Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Albania, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia and the United Kingdom on the sand.

Fans can follow the Calise Cup on Facebook, Instagram and the official website. The last day of the Calise Cup, including the finals, will be streamed live.  

Polish Beach Handball will take place in Gdansk, with Saturday and Sunday’s matches streamed live.

Last to join this week’s ebt 2017 action is the V Open Alburquerque Arena 500, which begins on Saturday in Badajoz.
