Women’s 17 EHF Championship (MKD) All-Star Team announced

With the conclusion of the Women’s 17 EHF Championship in FYR Macedonia on Sunday evening in Skopje, the All-Star Team featuring the very best players has been announced.

ALL-STAR TEAM

Seven different nations have had players selected with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award going to Ema Hrvatin for Slovenia.

GOALKEEPER: Barbara Zima (POL)
LEFT WING: Marija Tasevska (MKD)
LEFT BACK: Daphne Gautschi (SUI)
CENTRE BACK: Kinga Stanislawczyk (POL)
PIVOT: Kaja Kolar (SLO)
RIGHT BACK: Mor Shaul (ISR)
RIGHT WING: Emilia Kowalik (POL)
DEFENDER: Maria Masleva (BUL)

TOP SCORER: Sara Rexhepi (KOS) – 41 goals

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER (MVP): Ema Hrvatin (SLO)

At the initiative of the EHF Women’s Handball Board, all All-Star Team members received a special, personalised t-shirt from Salming Sports AB, the official outfitter of the EHF and EHF Marketing GmbH. The t-shirts contained a special message addressing the players as ‘Young Handball Ambassadors’ in recognition of their promotion of handball in their home countries and further afield.

FEMALE COACHES RECOGNISED

The Women’s 17 EHF Championship in FYR Macedonia saw two teams present coached by women and in recognition of this, the EHF Women’s Handball Board presented Julijana Damchevska (MKD) and Agnieszka Truszynska (POL) with a special, personalised hooded sweatshirt from Salming Sports AB, the official outfitter of the EHF and EHF Marketing GmbH.

The sweatshirts had a special logo with the logo ‘Handball is in my Heart’ attached, and all coaches received a special message to them as ‘Women’s Handball Ambassadors’ in recognition of their promotion of handball in their home countries and further afield.
