Kadetten spoil Velenje's immaculate recordA win for Velenje against Kadetten would have transformed the Slovenian side into huge favourites for a play-off berth. Instead, the Swiss side, who were coming off a tough loss in the last second against Dinamo, enjoyed a flawless final 10 minutes of the game to keep themselves in with a shot of progressing to the next stage.

The deadlock was hardly broken, as the two teams traded easy goals. However, Velenje took a 20:18 lead thanks to three Niko Medved goals at the start of the second half, and they were looking like they could run away as favorites.
"With this victory we have the chance to stay alive. When I bring my daughter tomorrow to kindergarten I will be happier. We have to go on now," said Gabor Csaszar after the game. "Today we didn't play our game - especially in defence. The defence is normally our weapon but not today.
