Vardar have yet to lose a point in the group matches this season, while Larvik are still searching for their first points in the tournament – that is the situation after Vardar’s clear win in Larvik’s Boligmappa Arena on Saturday.

On April 2, 2016, Vardar were responsible for Larvik’s biggest defeat in the Champions League so far, when they won 34:20 at home.

The Macedonian side seemed to be heading for a similar win in the Round 3 game, as they were leading 30:17 with three minutes left. However, Larvik managed to limit the defeat thanks to a goal before the end.

Larvik actually had the better start, as they created a 5:2 advantage. The depleted home team were able to follow Vardar to 9:9, but as the visitors scored nine goals in a row either side of the break, making it 18:9, the match was decided.

Larvik could not withstand Vardar’s physical strength and deep squad, and the visitors managed to increase their lead to 13 at its greatest.
