Gdynia and Krim eager to catch up
Unlike all the other teams who played their Women’s EHF Champions League Round 3 games over the weekend, Vistal Gdynia and RK Krim Mercator are scheduled to meet on Wednesday.
Both opponents have their regrets regarding previous matches, and therefore see the upcoming game as an opportunity to improve their position.
• Gdynia have no points and sit at the bottom of the group
• Third-placed Krim are on two points
• Nykøbing beat Bucuresti 25:22 in the group's other Round 3 game on Sunday
GROUP A

Gdynia are newcomers in the continental top flight, and it looks as though their lack of experience has so far been the biggest obstacle in performing better at this level.
The other debutants, Nykøbing, were too strong for the Polish outfit in the opening round, and coach Agnieszka Truszynska’s team had no chance on their home court against CSM in Round 2, losing by 11 goals.
However, Gdynia are starting to grow accustomed to the challenges of the competition, and harbour hopes of gaining some points in another home game, this time against Krim.
The Ljubljana-based side opened the group phase with a devastating loss versus CSM (30:18), but learned the lesson and grabbed a point one week later against Nykøbing (27:26).
Now, the Slovenian team are determined to catch the group leaders Bucuresti and Nykøbing. Both teams are on four points at the moment, so Krim will draw level if they win in Poland.
“Gdynia have a good team this season, and it is very important for us to play well in defence – even better than in the previous games,” says Krim head coach Uros Bregar.
