Coming soon: The Beach Handball EURO 2017 Photo BookA new publication will grant an exclusive look at the most recent Beach Handball EURO 2017 which took place in Zagreb this June. The photo book is titled “Stars of the Sand” and not only features the best photos of the competition, but also some exclusive behind-the-scenes shots which have not been published before. “The event in Zagreb set new standards in terms of quality of play, organisation and media coverage,” says EHF President Michael Wiederer. “The thousands of spectators, who followed the medal matches on centre court, located on the shores of Lake Jarun, witnessed for themselves just why beach handball has become such a popular sport.” Ole Jorstad, Chairman of the EHF Beach Handball Commission, says: “Our goal was to make the event in Zagreb one of the most important events on the EHF calendar and, I think, we achieved that, making an event that can be remembered by all: players, officials and audience (venue and TV). “First-rate athletes from all over Europe made the EURO 2017 an unforgettable tournament,” he says. The photo book will be published soon and will then be available as e-book on eurohandball.com. All photos were taken by the EHF’s exclusive beach handball photographer, Uros Hocevar.
