Four pots for the group phase draw ready

Following the last weekend's Qualification Round 3 matches in the Women’s EHF Cup Group Phase all is set for the group phase draw as the four pots have been confirmed.

Twelve teams from the qualification have now joined four bottom ranked teams of the Women’s EHF Champions League Group Matches (Vistal Gdynia, Brest Bretagne Handball, Larvik, Vipers Kristianstad) as the draw at the EHF Office in Vienna on Thursday 23 November at 11:00 hrs local time will determine all four groups.

The first round of the group phase is scheduled for 6-7 January and the last round will take place on 10-11 February. Only the top two teams of each group will make it to the quarter-finals.

The Women's EHF Cup is played in a group phase format after the old EHF Cup merged together with the Cup Winners' Cup before the previous season. The winners of the first edition of the reformed EHF Cup, Rostov-Don are playing in the EHF Champions League Main Round this season.

STEP 1
Teams from Pot 1 are drawn to Row 1 in Groups A to D

Teams from Pot 2 are drawn to Row 2 in Groups A to D

In Pot 3, Byasen Handball Elite are drawn to a possible group in Row 3 avoiding groups with Larvik or Vipers Kristianstad

STEP 4
In the same pot Issy Paris Hand are drawn to a possible group in Row 3 avoiding a group with Brest Bretagne Handball.

STEP 5
Last two clubs from the Pot 3 are drawn in Row 3 to the remaining two groups.

In Pot 4 Koebenhavn Haandbold are drawn to a possible group in Row 4 avoiding groups with Randers HK or Viborg HK

STEP 7
In the same pot Kuban are drawn to a possible group in Row 4 avoiding a group with Lada.

STEP 8
Last two clubs from the Pot 4 are drawn in Row 4 to the remaining two groups.
