Court of Handball opens case following Swiss protest

The EHF Court of Handball has opened legal proceedings following the match between Bosnia Herzegovina and Switzerland on 13 January 2018.

The game was the sixth round match in Group 6 of the Men’s World Championship Qualification Europe. 

Bosnia Herzegovina won the game 21:15. The result has, however, not yet been confirmed by the EHF.

Following this game, the Swiss federation made an official protest relating to participation of one of the players of the Bosnia Herzegovina team.

Having examined the relevant documents provided, the Court of Handball has accepted the formal admissibility of the protest.

Both national federations have been requested to provided statements and any additional information by 31 January 2018.

Draw at EHF EURO 2018

On Saturday, 27 January 2018, during the final weekend of the Men’s EHF EURO 2018, the draw for the World Championship Play-off - Europe will take place. 

A decision on which team will qualify from Group 6 and will play in the play-off matches will be reached only after the draw has been completed.

The event will be streamed live at ehf-euro.com from 16:00 hrs.
