Magdeburg to host a déjà vu draw on WednesdayFor club representatives of the four teams, who made it all the way to the Ottostadt Magdeburg EHF Cup Finals, it will be a small déjà vu experience, when they meet on Wednesday for the draw of the Men's EHF Cup final tournament. The very same faces, the same possible opponents, the same date (2 May) and the same country hosting the event. The only difference will be the location as instead of Göppingen, the draw will now take place in a city hall of another German handball stronghold, Magdeburg.
The defending champions Frisch Auf Göppingen, hosts SC Magdeburg, Füchse Berlin and the only non-German participant Saint-Raphael Var Handball will learn their semi-final fate at 11:00 hrs local time. The draw will be preceded by the official press conference and also the new winners' trophy will be unveiled. Last year Göppingen were pitted against Magdeburg, while Füchse locked horns with Saint-Raphael.
The EHF will provide the live streaming of the event including post-draw reactions of the club representatives on ehfTV.com as well as on the EHF Facebook page. Open draw
All four teams will be drawn from the same pot. The Ottostadt Magdeburg EHF Cup Finals draw will be completely open, what means that there is no seeding and two teams from the same country or two teams who already played together in the group phase (Füchse and Saint-Raphael) can face each other. Tickets There is already only a limited number of tickets available for the event. The price ranges from 49 to 139 € and the tickets are valid for all four games on the weekend.
