NEWS REPORT: French TV fans will have a wide variety of options where to follow the VELUX EHF FINAL4

Final game to be broadcast also on TFX

With three French clubs having reached the VELUX EHF FINAL4 for the first time in history a very positive development has been reached also on the TV market.

Fans of last year’s runners-up Paris Saint-Germain Handball and two newcomers in the LANXESS arena in Cologne, HBC Nantes and Montpellier HB will have a much wider variety of options where they can watch the final game of both the tournament and the whole season on 27 May 2018.

The right-holding company on the French territory beIN Sports has reached an agreement with the free-to-air TFX (former NT1) which will overtake the signal and broadcast the showdown match for the most coveted handball trophy parallel to the beIN Sports coverage.

As HBC Nantes take on Paris Saint-Germain Handball in one of the semi-finals on Saturday 26 May, one French team is guaranteed for the final game and will face the winner of the second semi-final between Montpellier HB and the defending champions HC Vardar.

While an experienced duo of Francois-Xavier Houlet and Thomas Villechaize will commentate all four VELUX EHF FINAL4 matches on beIN Sports, another seasoned French commentator Gregoire Margotton will guide fans through the final together with Philippe Gardent, the former coach of Paris Saint-Germain Handball. The two also commentated for TFX the matches of the French national team at the 2017 World Championship, where the host nation claimed the winners’ trophy and gold medals.
