Flensburg look to bounce back against Motor

Following a second successive defeat, SG Flensburg-Handewitt find themselves chasing the leaders in Group B and need a victory at home to Motor Zaporozhye, who are finding the move up to Groups A/B difficult.

Dinamo Bucuresti are enjoying a surprisingly bright start to their season, but their winning record will be challenged by a Riihimäen Cocks side eager to claim their first success in Europe’s top flight competition.

  • The two sides never met in the VELUX EHF Champions League, but they faced each other in the Cup Winners’ Cup, back in 2012. Both team won once, Flensburg 39:30 in Ukraine and Zaporozhye 32:27 in Germany
  • Flensburg have lost their last two games in the Champions League while Zaporozhye have yet to snatch a point
  • The last time Flensburg lost two games in a row in the Champions League was in 2016 and they have never conceded three straight defeats

  • With two wins from three matches, Dinamo matched their best start to a season at this level, when they also claimed four points from the first three matches in 2016/17
  • The Romanian side have yet to claim an away victory in 14 group phase matches
  • Cocks searching for their first win of the season, but should feel confident after drawing their only home match so far this season with Leon.
