Court of Handball fines FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria

The Court of Handball has decided to impose a fine of €7.000 on the club FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria following incidents occurred within the course of the Women’s EHF Champions League 2018/19 match played at home by the club against CSM Bucuresti (ROU) on 11 November 2018.

Around the 50th minute, spectators of the home team threw various items (e.g. coins and lighters) on the court in direction of opposing players which caused two match interruptions.

The court found the spectators’ behaviour violent and extremely unsportsmanlike. The club being responsible for their spectators as well as all security measures to be implemented, a fine is therefore imposed in particular according to the EHF Legal Regulations and the EHF Rules on Safety and Security Catalogue of Penalties.
