Who is Captain Europe?

The EHF Champions League and its official outfitter Salming are looking for #captaineurope in their new social media campaign

Who is Captain Europe?

Responsibility, team spirit, fair play and an everlasting passion for handball – those are the qualities of a strong leader. The EHF Champions League and its partner Salming have just launched #captaineurope, an international competition for youth players from all over Europe. And this is what it’s all about.

Help us find Europe’s next greatest team captains aged 14 to 18. Do you know one? Or is it you? Each of our two winners (one male and one female) will receive a full individual sponsoring package provided by Salming (shoes, textiles and accessories worth 500 €) as well as two tickets for the biggest handball event of the season - VELUX EHF FINAL4 2019 in Cologne, Germany on 1/2 June 2019.

The competition consists of three phases. All three need to be completed to stand a chance to win the #captaineurope title.

Phase 1

  • Post a picture of you or the captain you’re nominating (with their consent) on your personal or on your club’s Instagram or Facebook page
  • Add an explanation why she or he is your CAPTAIN EUROPE and add the hashtag #captaineurope
  • Phase 1 ends on 3 March 2019

After the end of phase 1 we’ll explain phase 2 and 3.

Important note: Nominated persons must be active handball players, between 14 and 18 years old (on 1 January 2019) and can be of any gender.
