Kiel expect over 7,500 fans at home debut

Despite minor injuries to German internationals Steffen Weinhold and Patrick Wiencek, THW Kiel are full of confidence ahead of their first Men’s EHF Cup Group Phase match on home court.

The EHF Cup Finals hosts welcome Polish side Azoty Pulawy on Wednesday for the first clash between the two clubs.

• the hosts of the EHF Cup Finals started their campaign with a clear 33:22 victory at Granollers
• Pulawy lost their opener at home 31:28 against GOG
• The only Polish team, Kiel faced in their EHF Cup history before, was Kielce in the quarter-finals of the 1997/98 season, losing 28:27 away, before a 31:26 home victory
• Kiel expect more than 7,500 fans for their home premiere at this stage of the competition
