Slovenian dream continues with first main round win

GROUP I REVIEW: The main round opened with Slovenia earning their third win of the EHF EURO 2022, as they beat Croatia 26:18

Women's EHF EURO 2022 co-hosts Slovenia secured the first points of the main round as group I opened in Ljubljana on Thursday night, defeating Croatia with a decisive margin, 26:18. After a close first half, Slovenia powered through the second half to take the victory.

The teams had met only once before in a match at a final tournament, with Croatia winning by one on that occasion, at the EHF EURO 2004. With the victory, Slovenia moved up to four points on the group I table, while Croatia remained on two.
