Last season's fourth-placed team Thüringer HC looked determined to make it to the finals of the EHF European League Women for a second consecutive season, but in the first leg of the quarter-finals they welcomed a motivated Storhamar Handball Elite squad who are eager to experience the feeling of playing in the EHF Finals for the first time in their history.
