MOTW SUMMARY: Györ secured first points against Esbjerg

SUMMARY: Running coverage of the MOTW in round 1 of the premium club competition, as Györ celebrated their first win this season.

The waiting is over! The EHF Champions League Women 2024/25 has returned this weekend with the first round of the group phase, three months after Györi Audi ETO KC were crowned champions in Budapest for the sixth time. Five matches were scheduled for Saturday, including the MOTW between the Hungarian powerhouse Györ and Team Esbjerg. The reigning champions fought hard until the end to secure a well-deserved win (28:26). The remaining three matches will take place on Sunday.
