DAY REVIEW: Portuguese side continue winning start to Machineseeker EHF Champions League season in round 3

Sporting CP extended their impressive start to the Machineseeker EHF Champions League 2024/25 season in round 3 on Wednesday night, stunning previously unbeaten Veszprém HC 39:30 to lead group A with the maximum of six points. In group B, Barça defeated Industria Kielce, just like in the 2021/22 final, this time 32:28. Earlier, team captain Sigvaldi Gudjonsson netted 11 times to guide Kolstad Håndbold past HC Zagreb (29:25) as the Norwegian side took their first points of the season, while Aalborg Håndbold and SC Magdeburg shared the points in a rematch of last season's semi-final, which Aalborg had won.
