Since their spectacular run to the EHF European League Men title in 2022, Sport Lisboa e Benfica have been seeking similar success in the competition. After two rather disappointing seasons by their standards, the Portuguese side is confident that 2024/25 might bring a turnaround in fortunes. They started the group matches with a narrow away win at Kadetten Schaffhausen last week, and now meet the other team in group C that started with a victory: Limoges Handball.
