Iceland and Germany celebrate EYOF gold in Skopje

REVIEW: The handball event at the 2025 EYOF in North Macedonia crowned the new men’s and women’s champions on Saturday 26 July

The 2025 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival (EYOF) culminated on Saturday 26 July with the medal matches in handball, when the men’s under-17 squad from Iceland and the women’s under-17 team from Germany took the gold medals.

The men’s podium was completed by Germany and Croatia, while Switzerland and Iceland celebrated silver and bronze, respectively, in the women’s tournament.
