Excitement for the beach handball events this summer ramped up following the draw on Thursday, which decided the preliminary round groups for the EHF Beach Handball Championship 2026. Ahead of the ceremony, Oliver Middell and Asun Batista were given the EHF Excellence Awards 2025 trophies in beach handball, with the Spanish player also taking part in the draw.
