Georgia’s new coach Rubén Garabaya opens up about his team’s challenges in the Men’s EHF EURO 2028 Qualifers

Georgian handball is on the rise. They made history with a debut appearance at the Men’s EHF EURO 2024 and celebrated their first victory in a final tournament against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the group phase. Under then-head coach Tite Kalandadze, Georgia then booked a ticket to the Men’s EHF EURO 2026, where they finished 20th. Now, Kalandadze’s replacement Rubén Garabaya will take his first steps in charge of the team as they start the hunt for a third final tournament through the Men’s EHF EURO 2028 Qualifiers.
