BUDUCNOST T-MOBILE FINISH LAST
Buducnost T-Mobile finished last at the international tournament in Hungary played on Friday and Saturday (24-25 August) in Dunaújváros. The Montenegrin champion lost all three games at the memorial tournament of Anita Kulcsár, but that was not a big surprise. These were the first friendly matches in the preparation period for Buducnost.
On day one of the tournament, Buducnost T-Mobile lost to Budapest Bank FTC (26:36), against the first opponent in this year’s edition of Champions league. On Saturday, the team of Tone Tiselj were defeated first from the host team, Dunaferr NK (27:29), and than lost the match for the fifth place against Russian Lada Togliati (24:33).
With a debut in the first team of 17-year old back Milena Knezevic, Buducnost played a very good match against FTC until the 49th minute (24:23 for the Hungarian team), when Tiselj decided to send on court some other young players (Sanja Jovovic, Ana Radovic and Vinka Vlahovic didn’t play this match). FTC easily won the game after this.
“We showed some good and some bad things that match. The start was not good, but than we played great 40 minutes. I was very satisfied wih Dragutinovic and Knezevic. We didn’t make it till the end, but that’s normal since the team are not 100 percent ready. The Hungarians are in better condition right now, but I’m convinced that in two months time we will be strong enough to play an equal game with them. My players have to change some old habits, we must play with more discipline in attack and defence,” commented Tone Tiselj.
Experiements
Buducnost played their best game against the home team, Dunaferr. The whole match was equal, but the Hungarians managed to claim the victory in the final minutes, showing better physical condition. In the last game, Tiselj rested the most experienced players and Buducnost had no chance against Lada, the runner-up of Champions league.
“Before the tournament I said that three games in two days are too much for us in this moment. But, I am very satisfied with the game against Dunaferr, especially with our defence. The result at the tournament was not important for us, at this point of the preparation it was not possible achieve more. But the matches were very useful, I hade a chance to test every player at difficult games and every game a different player excelled. I think we are on a good track to find the replacements of the experienced players who left the club this summer,” added Tiselj.
Coming up
Buducnost T-Mobile stay in Hungary until Friday to play one more friendly. Vasas will be the opponent of Tuesday, while Buducnost T-Mobile are going to play the next international tournament in Koprivnica (Croatia) on Friday and Saturday. The rivals will be the home side Podravka, HYPO and Krim Mercator.
