The Belarus champions qualify for Champions League Group H.
Meshkov Brest defeat Crvena Zvezda
The last participant of Group H will be HC Meshkov Brest. The Belarus champions have beaten Crvena Zvezda in both qualification matches by 25:33 and 38:28 played in Brest.
Brest started well in the first match and soon took the lead 7:5. The Serbian champions managed to equalise and the first half ended with a 14:14 tie. In the second half the 3400 spectators witnessed better handball from the home team that took a 26:20 lead. In the remaining part of the match, Brest kept on scoring to make it 25:33 at the end. Nenad Maksic and Andrey Motchalov scored 9 goals each.
The second match was played in front of 3600 spectators in the same sports hall and the outcome was also the same. In the first half, Crvena Zvezda managed to keep up with the score. The half time result was 14:18 in favour of Brest. But in the second half the same story happened once again. Brest simply demolished Serbian team and the final result was 38:28.
Both matches were played in Brest which also helped the home team to qualify. Meshkov Brest will compete in Group H with Pick Szeged, RK Gorenje Velenje and HC Bosna Sarajevo.
