Bosna Sarajevo are determined to prove for their fans against Szeged.
Harmandic: “We can do much better“
Bosna will host Pick Szeged on Sunday. Their first match in Szeged ended with a clear victory of the home team, 39:24. After a disappointing defeat in their domestic championship, the Bosnian team needs to find their pace again.
The Bosnian team are third in Group H with two points. Last weekend in Banja Luka, they lost their first Bosnian championship match against Borac 25:23. This defeat has shocked the Bosnian team. The club management clearly stated that they expect much better results in the future. The question is whether this pressure just before the match against the strongest opponents in the group will have positive or negative effect?
On the other side, Pick Szeged did not loose a single match in the CL. However, the Hungarian champions have bigger problems in their home league. They are on second position with one defeat so far.
Bosna’s coach, Jovica Elezovic, is aware of the strength of the Hungarian team. But he emphasised some advantages of his team: “This match we will have two things which Szeged will not have: our fighting spirit and our great fans. These two things will lead us to victory.”
The best Bosna scorer is Petar Kapisoda this season. His abilities will also be tested on Sunday, but the final result of the match will mostly depend on the performance of their key player, Adnan Harmandic.
Good sign is that he is confident of himself and of his team: “The last match against Szeged we did not play the best way we could. We know very well that we can do much better and we will show it on Saturday.”
The match between Bosna and Pick Szeged will be played on Sunday in Sarajevo at 17:30. The referees will be Nikolaos Korres and Sotiris Migas from Greece. BHT 1 and Viasat 3 will broadcast the game live.
