The two Serbian backcourt players, Katarina Bulatovoc and Anja Obradovic, are leaving Champions League winner Slagelse DT.
Obradovic and Bulatovic leave Slagelse
Anja Obadovic and Katarina Bulatovic, two Serbian players of Slagelse DT, leave the Danish club to join Montenegrin champions, Budocnost T-Mobile. The team of Podgorica are still playing in the Champions League, just as Slagelse.
The two transfers are to be seen in connection with the fact that Anja Andersen will step down as head coach and sports director of Slagelse after this season to take over the duties of head coach in another Danish league club, FCK Håndbold.
“As we do not know what the future brings for Slagelse, we have promised our players to help them in everything we can to secure their future. In this case, we had an opportunity to help these two players get on with their careers,” Slagelse director, Bjarne Stenbæk, said.
No other players leaving
This does not mean, however, that more players will be leaving the Danish champions in the near future.
“We still have to be able to fulfil our aims for this season, so other players should not expect the same opportunity that Bulatovic and Obradovic got,” Bjarne Stenbæk added.
Slagelse are currently second in Champions League’s Group A and they have already qualified for the Main Round. At the same time, they are fifth in the Danish league. Budocnost are third in Group D where they played against another Danish team, Viborg HK.
