Cadenas: no excuses

Manuel Cadenas is not able to offer an explanation for the clear defeat in Germany. The Spanish coach believes that the big difference was created by a good opponent:

“THW Kiel made a perfect game, an excellent match, but we have not shown a good performance. They ware better in every match situation. There are no excuses. We tried to stay in the match, but it was not possible. When you receive 41 goals, there can be no excuses,” said a disappointed Cadenas to the official FC Barcelona website.

To catch up with Kiel after these ten goals is very difficult. Cadenas says:

“We must try it, we must always try. We will play at home and it is important for us. We made mistakes, so we have possibility to improve”.

Iker Romero who scored nine goals talked also commented on www.fcbarcelona.com:

“It was not a brilliant game for us. They were better and we must congratulate them. We must have confidence and everybody else should have in the Palau too. They will play a hard game in Barcelona, they cannot just lay back”.

The next task for Barcelona before Kiel will be on Wednesday against Portland. It will be a very important home game for the Spanish title.

Barcelona are near to win two titles, but it is a very complicated situation in Spain and in Europe too. Ciudad Real are difficult opponents in the Asobal League and Kiel have a big advantage in the Champions League. It is going to be a really hard week for Manolo Cadenas and his players.
