FCK and GOG prepare for the next season with new players in their rosters.

Transfer market: active Danes

Norwegian international, Thomas Skoglund, who was standard left winger of Norway during the EURO 2008, will leave his current club, Haslum HK. The winger will play for GOG Svendborg TGI, also CL participant. The 25-year old Skoglund signed a three year contract with the Danes.

The Norwegian Skoglund will join GOG“They are one of the best teams in Denmark. They played the Danish championship finals and they qualified for the CL. This season they defeated FC Barcelona too. I’m looking forward to this and I will try to prove that I’m good enough to play there. …but, of course, they want me for a reason,” said Skoglund, who scored 114 goals for Haslum this season.

Third best league

“The Danish league has established itself as the third best league of Europe after the German and the Spanish league. It is improving all the time, so I think it is a good place to go,” said Skoglund.

“We expect a lot from Thomas. He is a really good winger and he has a lot of experience despite his young age,” GOG´s sports director, Jakob Landtved, told about the 182 cm tall Norwegian.

At the moment, GOG have the fast and technically skilled Swedish Fredrik Petersen on the left wing. The club has also signed a young talent from the youth sector, Tobias Møller. However, Fredrik Petersen has been linked with Spanish top club Portland San Antonio. Signing Skoglund may indicate that the Danes do not expect to be able to keep Petersen.

So far Thomas Skoglund played 37 international games for Norway. This season he was chosen left winger of the year in Norway.

Cl debutants strengthen squad

FCK Håndbold won the Danish championship for the first time ever and they will play in the Men’s CL next season. The management of the club are working on strengthening the team for the upcoming challenges.

Goalkeeper Ege and FCK will play significant role next seasonThe Copenhagen-based club signed two-year contract with Gudlaugur Arnarsson. The Icelandic international will join from Swedish league club Malmö HK. He also has CL experience with German VfL Gummersbach.

“FCK is an absolute top club and for me getting the chance to play there is a fantastic opportunity. I have high expectations from myself and I have great ambitions. I want to win titles with FCK,” the 29 year old line player said.

In FCK Gudlaugur Arnarsson will replace Swedish pivot, Mathias Gustafson, who will leave for Danish league rivals, AaB Håndbold.

Serbian international coming too

Another Swede, a right back national player, Kristian Svensson, will also leave FCK for AaB, but the new Danish champions have already found a replacement for him. Serbian international Vukasin Rajkovic will arrive from Frisch Auf Göppingen on a two year contract.

“I have the impression that FCK have big international ambitions and when I look at the names in the squad, I can be sure that the team will qualify for the Champions League in the next many years to come. In addition, I can still learn a lot as a handball player and I cannot imagine any better coach to learn from than FCK’s Magnus Andersson, who was a fantastic handball player himself,” the 27-year old Rajkovic said. He played 46 internationals for Serbia so far.

Young talents

FCK have also signed a couple of young talents. The 20 year old Danish U21 international, Jacob Bagersted, will join from league newcomers, Ajax Heroes, to give Magnus Andersson more option, while young goalkeeper Stephen Nielsen will replace veteran Peter Nørklit as substitute to Norwegian international Steinar Ege.
