Group 4 of the Qualification Round 2 in the Women’s EHF Champions League will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 3-5 October 2008.

2008/09 Women’s EHF Champions League
Qualification Tournament in Copenhagen

Vienna/Copenhagen, 28 August 2008 – Group 4 of the Qualification Round 2 in the Women’s EHF Champions League will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 3-5 October 2008.

Group 4 includes Dunaferr (HUN), FCK Handbold (DEN), HC Motor (UKR) and the 2nd ranked team from Qualification Round 1 Group B including AC Ormi-Loux Patras (GRE), Madeira Andebol SAD (POR), HC Naisa Nis (SRB) and VOC Amsterdam (NED).

After negotiations carried out with the clubs of Group 4, EHF Marketing and FCK Handbold agreed on the organisation of the Qualification Tournament 2. Accordingly, EHF Marketing will be the organiser of the event, while FCK Handbold will be its local cooperation partner.

EHF Marketing is grateful for the agreement and for the cooperation of FCK Handbold. The organiser of the event is looking forward to a smooth cooperation leading to an outstanding handball event played in a positive atmosphere for the teams, spectators and media.

Director of FCK Handbold, Thomas Hylle, is also positive about the agreement: “We are happy that EHF Marketing took over the responsibility for the organisation of the tournament in close cooperation with our club. We are looking forward to a successful event and to the first chance for our women’s team to take part in the EHF Champions League.”

Venue
The matches on 3-5 October will be played in Frederiksberg Opvisningshal, the home court of FCK Handbold.

Television coverage
The last match of FCK Handbold on Sunday 5 October 2008 will be broadcast live on the Danish television channel DR1 at approx. 14:25 hrs.

Ticketing
Tickets for the Group 4 of the Qualification Round 2 will be available via FCK Handbold.
