The Barcelona player knows that a defeat is not the end of the World, but he urges a change of mentality.
Lozano hopeful after defeat
Demetrio Lozano, Barcelona’s former Spanish international, tried to forget the defeat against Kiel as quick as possible.
Though it was an important game in the race between the two top club for the first place in the group, losing is not the end of the World for the Catalonians.
Two great teams clashed in Palau and the Germans won this time.
“We were hoping for a success, but we knew in advance that they are the favourites. These two points would have been very important for us. That’s history now and we must focus on the upcoming game now,” Lozano said.
The player also has positive feelings about the match: “The fans were incredible. We are grateful for the atmosphere created during the whole match.”
The left back, who also played for Kiel in the past, reminds that the group phase is not yet over.
“There will be a return game in Kiel and we will travel to Germany to win. We will try to get a victory there”.
Lozano is realistic at the same time. The Spanish knows that past victories are not enough:
“We have to change our mentality. We will have an important Asobal game in Pamplona against San Antonio and our objective is to improve our game respect to the weekend”.
