The Russian line player is pregnant and leaves the club.
Mochalina leaves Buducnost
Due to personal reasons, Liudmila Mochalina is not the player of Buducnost T-Mobile anymore. More exactly: Mochalina informed the club that she is pregnant. The Russian line player and the Montenegrin champions decided to terminate their contract with immediate effect.
“It was a big and unpleasant surprise for us – although we are happy for Mochalina. She was supposed to be the biggest reinforcement and now we found ourselves in a very difficult situation. First of all, she had a knee injury, but we thought she would be back on court in a month time. Now, because of her pregnancy we cannot count on her for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, we can’t do nothing and we must go on,” Maja Bulatovic, director of Buducnost T-Mobile told Eurohandball.com.
Mochalina was one of three reinforcements of Buducnost together with Croatian Tihana Ambros and Hungarian Gabriella Kindl. Mochalina played five games in the Regional League, scoring 16 goals. She missed the first two matches of the Champions League due to a knee injury.
“We will try to find a solution, but it is difficult to find a quality player at this stage of the season. Anyway, we will continue with the current team. But, if we find a good line player, we will certainly reinforce the team,” added the director Maja Bulatovic.
