Full motivation

Saturday will be “D day” for Buducnost T-Mobile. The champions of Montenegro need just one point from the game with FKC Handbold in front of the home crowd and they finish at least second in Group B.

Buducnost has been waiting since 2004 for a place among the best eight team of Europe and the young team of Gyula Zsiga is close to make it this year.

Jovanka Radicevic, 22-year old national team right winger, is playing her fifth CL season. She talks to Eurohandball.com about the match against FCK Handbold.

Eurohandball.com: After two wins against Hypo and Elda, you need just one point to reach the main round. Are you optimistic – especially after the draw reached in Frederikserg?

Jovanka Radicevic: I don’t want to make predictions; everything will be seen on the court. We can’t underestimate FCK, but I don’t want to overrate them either. I know for sure that we will enter the court with big motivation and that we will give our best. I hope to have the opportunity to celebrate after the match with our great fans.

Eurohandball.com: You played a good game in Spain last weekend, though it was not crucial. It shows that the team remained focused, which is a sign of becoming a mature team….

Jovanka Radicevic: We are going step by step. In Spain we were thinking only about the game with Elda. That’s why we deserved those two points. We had a great defence from the first minute of the match, which was not the case in the previous games. We proved that we have qualities, the motivation is not a problem and a great thing is that every player is giving 100 %.

Eurohandball.com: All 5.000 fans were present in “Moraca” hall against Hypo, which helped to win. Do you expect the same atmosphere on Saturday?

Jovanka Radicevic: I think so. Now we really need our fans more then ever. It would be a great success to reach the main round and play another six strong European matches. We have the best fans in Europe and it will not be easy for the Danish team to play in the “Moraca” hall.

However, support is not enough. We must do our job from the very first minute and not only play well in the second half.

With the defence we had in Spain, we can defeat FCK. They are not invincible. They have great players, such as Leganger in the goal. I think she means half of the strength of FCK.

Eurohandball.com: You are the top scorer of the team with 27 goals after five rounds. In the last two games you scored 15 goals…

Jovanka Radicevic: Nice to be top scorer, but not the most important thing. The results are more important. So I would rather just beat FCK on Saturday than to be top scorer.
