Good results, new sports hall and players renewing contract: successful season of Chambery.
Chambery: success story
The fans of the French Chambery Savoie can be extremely satisfied with the situation of the club.
The good results this year are part of the reason. The team perform above expectations in the Champions League with three world champions in the squad. By beating Zagreb away, the French have a real chance now to make it to the quarterfinals. Today they can host the German Rhein-Neckar Löwen with optimism.
Le Phare
However, the results on court are not everything. The club has just made a huge step by inaugurating their new, state-of-the-art handball arena. Le Phare is a modern, attractive sports hall offering all the comfort needed even for the highest levels of competition.
Le Phare can accommodate up to 6,000 spectators and has two playing courts, a centre court and a secondary court. Chambery Savoie will host Löwen in Le Phare, which will be the first international game in the brand new sports hall.
Players renew
Chambery has also officially announced that three players have renewed their contracts: Ciryl Dumoulin, Benjamin Gille and Laurent Busselier will play for Chambery in the future.
Domoulin has signed for three more seasons. Benjamin Gille renewed the agreement with four more seasons and Busselier will play one more year for the club of the city.
